We started this label, as an independent recording label to produce our own music. Our group has been around for the past six teen years from the Southern California area, known as Bearspring Singers. Our main genre is Native - Pow wow music, after several years of singing and one CD under our belt, we decided to venture out and start our own label. Our first ever on our label is "Bearspring – Straight Outta Cali", which was released on March 10th,2007.
We are going to continue pursuing other talents and groups in the area, to promote native music. We have such an abundance of talent out there awaiting to be discovered. Those are our prospects. This record label will allow us to capture native music in all aspects, with the intent to capture the originality of native music. We strongly believe that any form of music is the best source of wellness and happiness for our people.
Our goal is to record native musicians and talents from all over US and Canada. These vary from a musical groups to traditional music of native people. Our vision is to educate through the form recordings of our original native music. Some recording will be for archive purposes, and others will be for distribution.Our Mission:
- Capture the originality of native musicians, while maintaining their energy and the style of their music.
- Provide an avenue for new upcoming talents to present their audience with their unique style of music.
- Produce native music to the local retailers and vendors as promoters for many talented groups that emerge.
- Record high quality recording for archives and other educational proposes.
